OUR CEO/FOUNDER'S STORY - Veteran, educator, and leader in our industry.

Steven Weeks is a veteran who proudly served our country in the Coast Guard. He was part of the Coast Guard honor guard, having the opportunity to serve in the honor guard that welcomed Queen Elizabeth as she disembarked from Her Majesty’s Royal Yacht while visiting our country in 1976. Steven was the lead man in the Coast Guard's Arrival Honor Guard for Emperor Hirohito’s visit in 1975.

After the Service, Steven earned a BA in Education, focusing on learning styles. From there he became a professor at Sierra College, in Rocklin, CA.  In 1998 Weeks began consulting in the Electronics Manufacturing world. He was a consultant on the 2nd generation Xbox after some of the first generation boxes developed the, “Black Screen of Death.” He was part of the team that constructed, what was at that time, our countries largest Clean Room. Steve continues to consult our industry regarding quality control questions and practices, new hardware designs, and some of the latest practices in the soldering field.

Starting Soldering.biz was a natural progression. Our Soldering and Wire harness assembly graduates are the best in the industry.  JobForce is Steve’s next step for providing manufacturers with employees who value excellence in the workforce. In addition to employment placement, we provide mentoring to those who have little or no experience in meaningful employment.

We believe many employees need more than just technical training. JobForce is an ongoing mentoring program that teaches communication and team building skills. We want to change attitudes, motives, and create a hunger for excellence, pride in one’s work, and integrity.
— Steven Weeks

Steven knows this is a difficult task, but believes we can help shape a new sense of pride in America’s workforce.
